Our Approach to Your Healthcare

Our Aims

We aim to help improve the health of all our patients in the following ways:

Providing high quality, innovative, patient centred care

To provide quality care we are continually looking for ways to improve our practice and would like to hear your views on the care we provide. You can:

  • use the suggestion box at reception or the comments form on this website.
  • give your views in patient surveys
  • join our patient forum which meets several times a year (please tell reception if you would be willing to join this group)

Being part of the community

We see the practice as part of the community, and we have developed links with others living and working in the area. For example we have been involved in the local Health Action Partnership, working with schools, council staff and police, to look for ways of improving health in the area.

Being a teaching practice

We believe that teaching not only helps others learn, but it also helps us keep up to date. At the practice we have fully-qualified doctors who are undergoing further training to become GPs. You can find out more about this important work here.

Being a good business and employer

Providing your care involves the whole practice team. We are committed to taking care of our staff team. We will therefore not tolerate any verbal or physical abuse or violent behaviour towards our staff.

If any patient behaves like this they will be removed from our practice list, and any violence towards a staff member will be reported to the police.
