Home Visits

In common with most medical practices, we only visit patients when the patient genuinely can’t get to surgery. In the time it takes to do one visit, a doctor can see four patients in surgery. In addition at home the doctor will only have limited equipment and it is often difficult to perform a full assessment of your symptoms. It is therefore essential that if it is at all possible that you attend the Surgery to see the doctor.

Poorly children should not be kept waiting at home for a doctor to visit but should be wrapped up and brought to surgery where they will be seen quickly. They can usually have one or two doses of their medication by the time they would have been visited at home.

If you do need a home visit, please try to contact the surgery before 10am, as we aim to do most visits between 11am and 3pm.
